Refund, Cancellation and Liability Policy
Payment terms
All single treatments must be paid in full at the time of booking. Panchakarma Programmes require a deposit at the point of booking:
The remaining balance for Panchakarma Programmes is payable on completion of treatment. Payment by online or card payment is preferred.
Deposit, refund and cancellation policy for Panchakarma Programmes
Your deposit secures your programme booking and covers booking administration and therapist scheduling. All cancellations must be made in writing by email. Notice periods are calculated in calendar days before the programme start date.
- More than 14 days' notice: 100% refund of your deposit.
- 7 to 14 days' notice: 25% refund of your deposit.
- Less than 7 days' notice or non-attendance: no deposit refund.
Additional terms for programmes
- This policy applies to the programme start date, not individual sessions.
- Deposits are non-refundable once the programme has started.
- Deposits are non-transferable to another person.
Single treatment refunds
Where single treatments are booked and paid for in advance, the following applies:
- More than 14 days' notice: eligible for a 100% refund.
- 7 to 14 days' notice: eligible for a 25% refund.
- Less than 7 days' notice or non-attendance: not eligible for any refund.
Rescheduling
- Rescheduling requests must be made in writing by email.
- Single treatments rescheduled with more than 7 days' notice incur no additional charge.
- Single treatments rescheduled with less than 7 days' notice incur a rescheduling fee of 10% of the treatment price.
- Rescheduling requests are subject to availability.
- Rescheduling fees apply to single treatments only unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Non-refundable circumstances
- Refunds will not be issued for late arrivals, missed appointments, or failure to attend.
- Refunds will not be issued for services that have already been provided.
Business rights
The business reserves the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to illness, emergency, or other unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, clients will be offered the choice of rescheduling or a full refund of any amounts paid. Clients are bound by the version of this policy in effect at the time of booking.
Client responsibility
- Clients must provide accurate and complete health information prior to treatment.
- Clients must inform the Vaidya and/or Maharishi Ayurveda Technician of any medical conditions, injuries, allergies, or sensitivities that may affect treatment.
- Treatments are not a substitute for medical diagnosis or care. Clients should consult a qualified medical professional for medical concerns.
Liability
By booking and attending a treatment or Panchakarma Programme, clients confirm they are participating voluntarily. The business and its technicians, including subcontractors, are not liable for injury, allergic reaction, or adverse effects arising from treatments, except where caused by negligence, gross negligence, or wilful misconduct. Nothing in this policy excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Clients agree to release the business and its technicians from liability to the fullest extent permitted by UK law.
