A New Era In Health & Wellness
Maharishi Ayurveda treatments in rural West Lancashire, delivered by fully qualified technicians.
Welcome
Welcome to Your Ayurveda, providing Maharishi Ayurveda treatments in West Lancashire.
Our treatments are carried out by female and male technicians who are fully qualified and licensed by Maharishi Vedic University. Because our technicians regularly practise Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation programme, they bring a level of quiet, softness and stillness that is unique to Maharishi's consciousness based system of healthcare. The warmth and care given by our technicians help you feel better from the moment your treatments start.
We look forward to meeting you and helping you on your journey to better health and wellbeing.
The Tradition
Panchakarma is an Ayurvedic detox program based on five cleansing actions. These treatments work together in a careful sequence. Each step supports the next. The result is deep, lasting purification of your body.
Over time, toxins build up from food, lifestyle, stress, and the environment. Panchakarma helps remove these toxins at the root. You may feel lighter, clearer, and more energised. Many people with long-standing issues notice real relief. If you are already healthy, you often gain more vitality, focus, and stamina.
About Us
Health and wellness from conscious professionals with a passion for delivering a first class service. Our team are trained in the ancient Ayurvedic techniques brought back to life by Maharishi himself.
Working alongside a qualified Vaidya, we deliver nourishing treatments to help revitalise your body and mind. We operate from the Maharishi Ayurveda Health Centre in West Lancashire, in the heart of the UK TM community and only a short walk from the Maharishi Golden Dome.

A stimulating dry massage performed with raw silk gloves to help promote weight loss. The friction on the skin suits those with a heavier Kapha body type. Price includes raw silk gloves.
A four-handed, synchronised deep-muscle massage for those who take part in sport, exercise or physical work. Stronger pressure and less oil than the Abhyanga. Relaxes the muscles and strongly stimulates circulation within the tissues.
Combines a head, neck and shoulder massage with herbalised steam and purification. Helps eliminate toxins from the sinuses and the whole head and upper respiratory area. Clears and calms the mind and detoxifies the sense organs.
A profoundly relaxing treatment that usually follows an Abhyanga massage. A stream of oil is poured slowly and evenly over the forehead to promote deep healing. Balances Prana Vata, calming an overactive mind. Very helpful for insomnia, anxiety and depression.
Helps with anxiety, fatigue, insomnia and psoriasis, and with Pitta and Vata imbalances. Following a full body massage, a cool herbalised liquid yoghurt is slowly poured over the forehead for half an hour, relaxing the nerves and helping with skin problems.
After a full head and face massage, this treatment is applied to the eyes and surrounding tissues. Recommended for eye strain, tired, itchy or bloodshot eyes. Balances Pitta dosha and is said to promote intuition.
A luxurious royal treatment. Two technicians pour a continuous stream of warm oil over the whole body while performing a synchronised massage. The combination of oil and heat softens and releases deep-seated toxins. Considered the best treatment for reducing excess Vata.
Usually preceded by a full body massage. Once toxins are softened, herbalised steam is applied in a wooden cabinet enclosing the body apart from the head. Opens the body channels and helps move toxins out of the tissues. Balances both Vata and Kapha.
Abhyanga followed by an intensive whole-body massage. Small warm linen boluses filled with herbs, rice cooked in milk and medicated oils are applied to relieve musculo-skeletal pain and inflammatory conditions. Can be applied locally or over the whole body.
Small warm linen boluses filled with herbs, lemon and herbalised oils, applied locally to relieve or prevent joint problems. Useful for joint or muscular pain, stiffness, sciatica, swellings, sprains and cramp. Each variation differs, so contact us to discuss your needs.

A concoction of ghee, honey, herbal decoction, herbalised oil, minerals and spices that helps the body eliminate toxins loosened during massage. During Panchakarma it is administered on alternate days to the Matra Basti to alleviate intestinal, spinal and joint issues and migraines.
A soothing pool of oil held on the heart area within a dough ring. Useful for physical heart conditions such as irregularities, and for emotional conditions such as heartache, sadness and loss.

After a full head massage, herbalised oil is applied to each ear, lubricating the delicate filaments of the ear canal. Calms the mind, sharpens hearing, removes impurities and helps with a range of ear problems, including tinnitus.
A massage to improve energy flow down the legs and through the feet by clearing blocked channels and stimulating vital marma points. Because the feet connect with all parts of the body, it has wide therapeutic uses and is particularly recommended for sleep problems.
A cotton pad soaked in warm medicated oil is placed on the crown of the head for 30 to 60 minutes. Calms the nervous system, reduces stress, improves sleep and helps with headaches or mental fatigue, balancing Vata dosha.
Home preparation used before Panchakarma as instructed by a Vaidya. Includes organic ghee, organic castor oil, organic sesame oil, Triphala and Peya mix, along with a copy of your Panchakarma programme.

Good To Know
If you would like to begin with a treatment or two, it is not necessary to consult our in-house Vaidya. For full Panchakarma it is necessary, as we need to know whether your physiology is ready for this deeply purifying programme. If in doubt, get in touch and we can discuss it with you.
Yes, treatments are available for men too. Men's treatments are delivered by our male technicians. Panchakarma is always delivered for ladies by ladies and for men by men.
We offer a wide range of treatments lasting from an hour up to several days. In some cases the Vaidya may recommend a 5 or 7 day plan. For these, we provide accommodation and meals during your stay at the centre.
Yes. We use Maharishi Ayurveda certified organic oils, herbs and pastes. As part of booking we discuss this in more detail so any allergies are taken into consideration.

Ladies should not have Maharishi Panchakarma treatment during the first three days of the menstrual period. Schedule your programme so no part of it coincides with the first three days, including preparatory home treatment, treatment at the centre, and concluding home treatment. If a period occurs during treatment it must stop for three days. If your periods are irregular, mention this when scheduling. The ideal time to begin preparatory home treatment is immediately following a period.
We do not advise treatment during pregnancy. If you intend to become pregnant, it is best to defer for two months after treatment for maximum benefit. Modified Panchakarma procedures are highly recommended to restore balance after giving birth, as residual Vata imbalance following birth is often the starting point for later problems.
